Unique to the Milwaukee Road were the ribside cars. Perhaps most unique were the 50 foot Merchandise cars first built in 1941 designed to haul full-load bulk mail, often on long mail trains such as the Fast Mail. This craftsman kit had been designed by Stan Rydarowicz and includes resin car sides, doors and ends (with correct prototypical height and end details) which are designed to be fit to the included Rib Side Cars underframe. Also included are pre-formed hand grabs and roof walk. We recommend adding Walthers Ribside Caboose Trucks for models up to early '60s (part number 933-1322) and Bettendorf trucks for later models. Trucks are not included with this kit.
